Summary
The app is a tool for receiving and monitoring professional live video over the SRT protocol. We do not use advertising, we do not use third-party analytics, and we do not sell or share data with anyone. The only network flows are: (1) the SRT server that you configure yourself (your own infrastructure, not ours), and (2) Google Play Billing, to process the one-time "Pro" purchase inside the app.
What data the app handles and where it stays
- SRT connection profiles (address, port, passphrase, stream ID and profile name) are stored only in the device's local storage. They are never sent to any server of ours. If you choose to export or share them (JSON, QR code or link), you do so explicitly, through the channel you choose; it does not pass through our infrastructure because we have none.
- Local media files: if you pick a file as a playback source, the app reads it from your device (storage or media permission). It is not uploaded to any server.
- Recordings and captures that you create with the app are saved on your device.
- Diagnostic log: the app keeps a local log (the last ~500 lines plus a file) so that, if something fails, you can copy it yourself and share it with support when reporting a problem. It is generated and stays on the device; it is not transmitted automatically anywhere.
- "Pro" purchase: processed through Google Play Billing. Google handles that payment data under its own privacy policy. We only receive confirmation that the purchase exists, to unlock the features; we do not see or store your card or payment details.
- Google Cast: if you send the video to a TV, the app starts a temporary HTTP server inside your own local network so the TV can read it. It does not leave your network or pass through any server of ours.
Permissions the app requests and why
- Internet and network state: to connect to the SRT server you configure and to Google Cast services.
- Storage and video/audio files: to pick a local file as a playback source and to save recordings and captures.
- Display over other apps: for the floating picture-in-picture player.
- Notifications: required by Android to show the persistent control of the floating player while it runs in the background. They are not used to send you marketing.
- Foreground service: so playback keeps working reliably when the app goes to the background.
What the app does NOT do
- It does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- It does not use third-party crash reporting (diagnostics are 100% local).
- It does not sell data or share it with advertisers.
- It does not require an account or registration.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
If something relevant changes (for example, if a third-party service is added in the future), this page will be updated and the new date will be shown above.
